2.5 million people in the Boston area and 20% of the most stylish people around here are at Harvard?
Give the Globe credit - If they insist on doing an annual Bostonians Who Spend Way Too Much Time Worrying about Clothes list, at least this year's is a lot more reflective of the fact that Boston's population is no longer mostly WASP and Irish.
But of the 25 people on this year's list, 5 are Harvard students or faculty types:
"I wear very simple clothes and I don't think that I'm very edgy and fashion forward, but I do like to take my simple clothes and elevate it into something classic," she said.
I wear very simple clothes and I don't think I'm very edgy and fashion forward, either, but, alas, I've never been to Harvard.
The Missus, meanwhile, critiques the Globe choices:
It's a much better list than the disaster they had last year.
Brian: Don't the Globies realize just how embarrassing and out of touch they've become?
... Ranking Bostonians on the basis of style is like holding a suntan contest for Seattlites in December.

Stylish Boston
That list actually made me want to grab my camera, go out on the street, and find *real* stylish Bostonians. As much as Boston gets mocked, there are some very well- and creatively-dressed folks out there. Sadly, most of them don't have six-figure bank accounts (or, in the case of the Big H students, trust funds) and so will never grace the pages of the Globe.
Bosh!
Flim flam! I live across the street from Harvard and the number of people I saw this summer in Birkenstocks and knee-high wool socks was appalling. Things haven't gotten much better with the change in seasons, either: orthopedic-looking black shoes with not-quite-long-enough khakis have taken over.
