Open letter to guys on the MBTA

Dear males,

While I don't understand it, I can tell that you are uncomfortable with the concept of lack of "personal space". However, when riding on a crowded bus or train, please consider allowing some of that personal space to shrink for the good of other riders. I don't care if that means you have to press yourself near another man. Two men sitting in the same (double) seat on a bus does not mean anything

This means you, guy on the #1 bus, who obviously wanted to sit down, but didn't want to sit with another man. In the end, he sat down, sort of, but he was half in the aisle, so other riders had to move around him.

This also means you, guy on the red line, who spread himself across more than one seat, draping an arm across an empty seat next to him, possibly in the hopes of deterring others from sitting there.

And this also means you, guy on the # bus, who was literally lying down across the rear set of five seats. Well, you were draped across one of "your girls" or another, but three of you to take up five seats, when the women only had one seat each was rather greedy.

Of course, I'll give you a pass rather than sit with or get too close to someone who is actively loopy (read: singing to themselves out loud, talking to nobody, preaching, or panhandling).

Thank you for your consideration.

you must be crazy girl. I see some of us women (probably you) do the same thing, why single the guys out? TELL him to get out of the F-ing way. He'll do it. All you have to do is speak up, not write about it.

How about you just mind your own business and stop complaining. I'm sick of people like you complaining all the time about this petty useless shi*. Just sit your Azz down on the train or bus and look at the floor.
