Area Web hosting company screws up big time

NaviSite, based in Andover, bought some hosting company in Baltimore and decided to move all its servers to Massacusetts. But as Jeff Cutler explains, instead of doing it the right way (buying new servers, getting them running in Andover, then using that wacky thing called the Internet to move all the data from Baltimore to Andover), they did it the majorly wrong way (put all the Baltimore servers in trucks, then drive them up to Massachusetts):

... And in their royal screw up they took down all of Mark Moline and Concept Host's clients including my father's site. THIS WAS SATURDAY – FIVE DAYS AGO. ...

Cynthia Brumfield serves up some white hot anger about the whole situation.

Globe: Thousands cut off from Web as firm consolidates.

As I mentioned in my comments on http://www.bowlofcheese.com the Universal Hub site is doing things correctly.

I applaud the way in which you reference sites and content and urge you to keep uo the good work.

My splogging post had to do with a cruise site that started using my posts verbatim without attribution and they were being passed off as their own content.

Hey, I'd like to put a link to UH up on Bowl of Cheese. Would you consider a reciprocal link?

**If you do link to me, use the Bowl of Cheese link, my ideas2words site is my professional writing site and I pimp that enough in other places.

Thanks!

Jeff

You bet! I actually have a link to you sitting in the database I use to build the blog directory - I've been a slug in marking it "approved," for which I apologize.
