Protesters arrested at Veterans Day ceremony

Boston Police report arresting 18 people at City Hall around 2 p.m. today on charges of "disturbing a lawful assembly of people:"

The protestors, a group from an organization called Veterans for Peace, created a disturbance throughout the proceedings. On several occasions, police officers warned the group that if they continued to deliberately interrupt and disrupt the assembly they would face arrest. When offered an alternative location from which to protest from, the protestors refused.

Veterans for Peace.

The City had it Coming

Nice job Boston, theres no better way to honor the Vets than to co-sponsor a rally with WTTK, your local home of Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter. It makes me wonder if the city hall hacks who approved this have ever really listened to the show of their keynote speaker Michael Graham, he's not exactly dignified and respectful.

Michael Grant and Veteran's Day

It is pathetic that this blow-in from NASCAR
country was officially connected with this.
Another Hannity/Riley/Rush wannabe trading
the lives of US soldiers for Arbitron points.

Couldn't the organizers have found a keynote
speaker that actually served in the military
rather than this ratings pimp?

18 arrested

At Veterans day memorial service IDIOT was a memorial service for veterans.. MEMORIAL service.. If you want to protest a war or any other thing, do it at a memorial service for a member of your OWN family or relative.. Politics have noting to do with it ...nor should disrespect for the flag they fought under...

They ARE Veterans!

Unlike the parade of Chicken Hawks that were putting on this "show of support" for all those other people who actually SERVED.

Or is your little world too small or either/or to include the idea that maybe, MAYBE those who are the biggest cheerleaders for war are those who had nothing to do with it when their time came, and those who have fought might not think more dead bodies is a good idea?

Just to clarify

Michael Graham is NOT a veteran. Neither
am I. Neither of us should have been the keynote speaker.
A veteran, of any opinion, should have. Give the
honor to someone who earned it.

Graham was happy to get 20 minutes of manufactured
outrage for his Monday am show out of it.
He's trading soldier's lives for points in
the ratings book, and it stinks.
