Pedestrian run down in West Roxbury
By adamg on Mon, 11/19/2007 - 11:48pm
Sad all around: Fatal accident at West Boundary Road and Washington Street in West Roxbury this afternoon. Not by somebody having a heart attack, though, but by a 20something in a mini-van.
Better news comes out of South Boston, where a man who fell in the harbor was rescued by a Massport police officer who heard his faint cries over the seagulls.

Of course, the Globe yet again misidentifies the neighborhood
And of course, the Globe yet again misidentifies the neighborhood of Boston in which one of the accidents took place.

West Boundary Rd and Washington St are not even close to Jamaica Plain. This really is not that hard and embarassing for the Globe.
It's not in the suburbs or the Back Bay
So the Globe doesn't really care.
That is exactly true, Adam.
That is exactly true, Adam. The Globe caters to Back Bay society types and the burbs. The Herald is apt to sensationalize a story, but they do much better city reporting than the Globe. Hopefully this is never a one paper town.
Well...
Sorry to hear about the 2 pedestrians in West Roxbury, yet am glad to hear that the fisherman who go caught on a pylon after falling in the South Boston Harbor was rescued. Hope he's OK.
