A student getting to know Boston better
I've certainly been posting a lot of stories of late about BU and Northeastern students behaving badly. Of course, they really represent a minority of the students there. Al DeLuca is a Northeastern student who's blogging about getting to know Boston better - and who is trying to get other newcomers to blog about their experiences:
... I am a college student thriving to shed the transplant college student persona automatically placed on any young adults wandering the city. While accurate at times, this stereotype doesn’t apply to us all and there are some that really want to contribute to the fabric of this city and become long term residents even following school.
Here at the blog, you'll get stories of our exploits around the city as we experience it for the first time. If you live in the city, it will be a great romp down memory lane, as you can relate to our first time experiences, if you are from out of town or any of the suburbs and are thinking about moving to the city, well then this is also a great place for you, as it will give you an idea as to what lays ahead. ...

You're right that it's a minority of students behaving badly. As a senior at BU, I've enjoyed volunteering around Boston and generally becoming familiar with the city, thanks in part to websites like Universal Hub. I hope "regular" Bostonians realize the significant contributions that many students make.
Thriving?
Ah... the best and brightest. If you've ever corrected college assignments or exams, you recognize this young gentleman.
However,
It takes only a minority of students who do behave badly to incite others to act that way who might or might not act that way ordinarily. If the majority of students don't rein in the minority of students who behave badly, then they, too bear responsibility.
