Dognapping in Brookline Village: Maybe leave your dog at home when going out for a bite?

A diner at the Village Fair restaurant on Washington Street told police last Thursday that somebody made off with his dog:

The dog was last seen by witnesses in the possession of four teenage Hispanic males, the dog is described as a 3 year old female pit-bull mix black with white markings.

village fare is in brookline village. if it had been in washington square, the turkey would no doubt have been responsible.

This is precisely why I never leave my dog in the car. I hear this is more common than people think.

ha ha ha!! I won't go into a whole big schpiel about this subject, since my opinion on pitbulls is well-known on this site, but I think that people who buy such dogs are mostly people looking to risk "getting licked".

I've seen plenty of instances of dogs being tethered to meters or being left in cars--a very stupidassed idea, in either case.
