That was no lady, that was an undercover cop

Boston Police report arresting six men at an unspecified Dorchester location (somewhere in district C-11) early Saturday on charges they tried to exchange money for sex - with professionals who turned out to be undercover police officers: They ranged in age from 19 to 52.

Also arrested in the sweep: Four guys on illegal-gun possession charges who, police say, stopped to offer money in exchange for a good time.

Around the same time over in Roslindale, meanwhile, police say they arrested a burglar who apparently was settling in for a big haul at the Rite-Aid on Washington Street:

The suspect was arrested and subsequent search of the store resulted in officers finding numerous store merchandise in the electrical room where the suspect was found. In addition, officers discovered a hammer next to an ATM machine in the store, that ATM had damage to it. During further search of the store, officers located a hole that had been hammered through a brick hall in the store.

Around 4:15 a.m., Saturday, police arrested a guy who they say broke into his girlfriend's place at 147 Wrentham St. in Dorchester, then called her repeatedly at work to say he was waiting for her at home with a gun and intended to shoot her. He apparently didn't think she would call police, but she did, and when they arrived, they surrounded the place, sent in a dog, arrested him and found a gun hidden in the toilet.
