Blatant commercial plug: French Toast Alert Level T-shirts

Universal Hub visitors are always right. Only available in Blizzard-of-'78 Elevated Alert red, because, really, why panic people over a couple inches?

I see a vision!

If you look hard enough, squint even, it looks like ... like ... A MOONINITE in the pattern on the toast.

Okay, try turning it sideways? Sorta?

I think it must be a sign!

Jeesh. Universal Hub, becoming "product."

About the model

The French Toast, that is, not the dude:

Because I have no life, on the way home from work last night, I stopped at the West Roxbury Shaw's (uncrowded, as always) and picked up some frozen Aunt Jemima Cinnamon French Toast. When I got home, I opened it up and was disappointed to see how Quality Control has apparently been axed at Auntie's: The first slice looked like somebody ripped it in two; the second looked like somebody had stepped on it. The third one looked OK. Popped it in the toaster oven, set it to "Bake," came back awhile later, tossed it on a cookie tray and poured 100% pure Vermont maple syrup on it (nothing but the best for us, nuh uh), then took a variety of provocatively posed photos so I could choose a good one for the shirt.

Then I ate it. And it was, well, it was edible.

Ordering the onesie, definitely...

... the WarriorBabyGirl will need one of these in her next batch of clothing.

Cool...

but why don't UH and B-O have the FTAL banner up today?

Looks like it's only on the main page

If you're following a story, it disappears.

Now it's everywhere

Maybe I should turn every page orange?

adamg | Thu, 12/13/2007 - 10:49am

Orange on UH

Upper right corner. Maybe I need to go back to putting it in the center column so everybody can get all panicky? Hmm, or maybe I should turn the entire home page orange, like boston.com does every so often when some cellular company throws a bucket of money at them.

Haven't gone to red yet, because that should really be saved for Blizzard-of-'78ish storms, LIKE THE ONE WE'RE GOING TO GET THIS WEEKEND THAT WILL RUIN THE PATRIOTS GAME AND WIPE RHODE ISLAND OFF THE MAP!!!!

As for Boston Online, gads, yeah, I need to stop neglecting that - people considering flying into Boston NEED TO BE WARNED!

My boss

Is planning to fly from DCA to BOS at 2:30.

I told him not likely. Even if he does land on time, driving home at 4:00 from Logan would likely be complicated.
