Disorganized former city councilor wants to organize people

ArroyoFelix Arroyo, who lost a re-election campaign because he was out-organized by other candidates (in part because he was in love), now plans to start a group to organize Boston residents to get more involved in city affairs, the Jamaica Plain Gazette reports:

... Arroyo intends to start a non-profit organization to educate and empower residents. The theme, he said, will be "one Boston for all ... [with a] common agenda of justice and equity." ...

No, not at all like a campaign organization.

So Felix will create a non-profit group, and put himself on the payroll. Hmmm.... he belongs on the Boston City Council. Fits perfect. Dapper and Freddy Langone would approve.

So what's wrong if Felix starts a non-profit and puts himself on the payroll? How is it any different than a person who starts a for-profit company and puts themself on the payroll? Someone's gotta staff it and it might as well be the man who has the vision to start it.

Sounds like hes going back to his roots of non-profits.

Dont act as though he didnt make history and organize the hell out of his base in 2001, 2003, and 2005, he had a bad year and didnt win does that mean he should stop caring? I'd be more upset if he didnt keep working with the community...
