One exception to the phenomenon described in this post...WBUR-FM's 10:00 am show "On Point" on Friday veered from "Best of..." shows, and Tom Ashbrook returned a few days early from sick bay to host a LIVE show on Friday, at least for the first hour. (They reverted at 11:00 am to a show taped 5 months ago with bat-guano-crazy Pres candidate Ron Paul; as long as Tom was in the building, I don't know why they didn't cobble together a week-in-review show then, WBUR's usual fare on Friday mornings.)
