What if the Patriots were only 14 inches tall?

Soxaholix asks, strictly hypothetically, of course:

If I were given a chance to manipulate historic events, would I willingly sacrifice the Pats 19-0 season in exchange for a guaranteed Red Sox World Series victory in 2008?

But what would Bill Swerski's Super Fans say?

I am a Huge Sox Guy

I have lived and breathed the Sox since 1975. I worked there for a few seasons and saw Roger in his "natural" prime. I cried when the ball went through Buckners legs.In 04 i staid up late every night and saw every pitch of the comeback against the Yankees.Very exciting stuff. The World Series was joyous. But it was sort of a let down after all the drama of the Yankees series.

Now, the Patriots have surprised me. The first Super Bowl victory over St Louis is one of the few times in my life i was actually speechless.I was numb.Brady took them down the field and made himself a legend. The single most important, exciting moment in my sports life.

The 07 Sox championship was nice but now I am pulling for Tommy Boy to make this season perfect.Id take this Super Bowl and I dont even care of the Sox and all the PinkHats have to miss the playoffs and cry all next winter. And thats what I think!

There's another winning team around town

Yeah, they've stumbled a bit in the past week, but surely they are worth a little attention too? They dress in green.

Can't even get tix!

I tried to find decent tickets for tomorrows game, just to send my bro pics of Blazers whuppin' Celts like yesteryear, but they came in $170 and up flavors.

Of course.

Of course the Celtics deserve a lot of attention. They are already getting a ton of national attention, and will be a huge story right after SuperBowl week, which is when more people start watching basketball anyway. This season has a lot of games left.

Part of the fun

with the Sox is the continuous 'Will they or won't they' that we go through all season long. If we knew the answer was preordained it wouldn't be as much fun. the exception to this is, of course, the World Series. We don't lose World Series games.

What about Belichick? Would he be mini too?

By jmr76 (not verified) | Tue, 01/15/2008 - 5:43pm

If yer talkin full-grown Belichick, I'd have to say Pats: 56 and Chargers: -6

However, suppose the Chargers plane gets stuck and they have to hire Ditka to take their place. If that's the case, I'd have to say Ditka: 42, mini-Pats: 40. On the last play of the game Ditka sacks mini-Brady for a safety and Ditka wins.
