As far as I can tell from his About page, the name is from his nickname which was derived from his youthful attraction to Star Trek, and the site design was probably put together by a hired web designer who was likely just trying to get something cool-looking out of the site's identity, but go ahead and whip out the tired old chicken hawk attack if it makes you happy with yourself.
