Police say they seized, among other things, 58 grams of crack, numerous bags of pot, three semi-automatic firearms (one with an obliterated serial number), 161 rounds of ammunition, a large-capacity magazine loaded with 30 9-mm rounds and two bullet-proof vests. Many of the items were inside a Brinks safe, police say.

Also, police report yet another arrest resulting from a traffic violation; this time, two guys from Newton, arrested at Forest Hills and Washington streets in JP on a variety of pot and gun-related charges around 9 p.m. yesterday after officers pulled them over because their license plate was "barely visible and dirty."
