Some Pats predictions:

Lance: 38-21.
Matt O'Malley: 37-17.
Peter: 34-21.

The Globe, meanwhile, wusses out. Sure, their "19-0" book is back, but look what's now on the cover:

Subject says it all.

Also, this is a test of the mysql database. It just told me it's full.

Whoa. Do you remember more specifically what the error message said? Obviously not a good thing.

Sorry I usually copy and paste those sorts of errors to the admin, but was lackadaisical today. It said something about allocating some good sized number of bytes but only having room for about a third of it. Then it gave the mySQL database directory and another bit or two of info on the error. It was when I attempted to post the "Way to abuse the tags" comment. Since my test post went through without error (and evidently my other post did too, twice, even with the error), I'm guessing it had something to do with responding to a post that had so many tags...maybe?

Not sure, but if you didn't do anything on the back end, the error seems to have corrected itself. I'll go try a second post on the pruned tag post and see if it goes through.

Wasn't MySQL, but some PHP memory issue. Now to figure out what's sucking up the memory. In the meantime, I've temporarily fixed it by upping the maximum memory allocated to the app.

The matchup between Michael Strahan and Nick Kaczur should be dynamite. Strahan was a disinterested observer in the last regular season game but this time he'll bring his game(or whatever is left of it). Kaczur was out injured in that game so this is a new and intriguing matchup. I don't think Strahan will have match luck power rushing but his speed game could cause Kaczur trouble. However, simply beating Kaczur on the edge isn't likely to do much harm because Brady will take a couple of steps up in the pocket and then two to his right, negating Strahan's outside success. Strahan will probably have to beat Kaczur to the inside a couple of times to disrupt the passing game, especially on third downs.

Another key will be Kaczur handling looping inside linebackers on zone blitzes where Strahan drops back to cut off Welker's short inside routes. The blitz pickup on the right side is a bit of a concern because Stephen Neal has missed so many games.

Go Pats!
