Stabbing in Charlestown; Disrespecting rampage in JP

Boston Police report a guy walking home from the supermarket around 2 p.m. yesterday was followed by a group of teenagers, one of whom stabbed him at 9 O'Meara Ct. He said the stabber was a Hispanic guy wearing a black jacket and a red hat with the letter "C" on it. A few minutes later, officers spotted a Hispanic guy wearing a black jacket and a red hat with the letter "C" on it walking into a store on Bunker Hill Avenue. They say they got him to the original crime scene in time for the victim to ID him before his ambulance pulled away; no word on the victim's condition.

Later, around 11:20 p.m., down in JP, police responded to Evelyn's Market, 298 Centre St., to find the front door smashed, a trash barrel inside the store and a woman yelling, "They disrespected me!"

Officers spoke to this individual and she told officers that someone had disrespected her earlier and that she believed the person to still be there. Officers then spoke to the store employees who reported that they were closing shop for the night when the suspect threw a barrel through the front door shattering the glass door. After throwing the barrel through the window, the suspect, per witnesses and victims, entered the store and started yelling at them.

Officers then respectfully placed Jocelyn M. Valentin, 21, of Jamaica Plain in a cruiser for booking on charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and destruction of property over $250.

Anyone who uses the work distrespect should be put in a barrel, and dropped in the harbor. No one with an ounce of self-respect bitches about being "disrespected." Now let me get in my barrel.

The employees at Somerville Home Depot were so busy talking to each other about how they had been disrespected that they were unable to direct me toward the spackle. If only I had been aware of the barrel technique...!

since 1614, it appears. What's your problem with this word?

So you are not aware that the word is often followed by gunshots?

It just means "to be treated without respect". For instance, if the T cancels a commuter train without informing customers, they are disrespecting the customers.

But do you mean "word"?

This is one of the two police videos making the rounds these days, showing some Baltimore cop chewing out some skater dude (so it's the stupid one, not that oh-my-God-WTF one). The cop gets really mad when the kid keeps calling him "dude:"

You disrespected me, this badge and my department!

Bet that kid'll respect his authoriteh from now on.
