Could someone please confiscate that Canon 30D? EXIF shows they had no clue what they were doing (ISO1600 in broad daylight.)

What is it with the use of this phrase??? Instead of protesting, why not get involved with the library and try to work toward a solution?

SO, which one is the ZAK?

Who protests a library? Of all the problems in the world, they choose to protest a library?

Seriously

We are lucky to have a library. With all of the budget cuts and restraints we are lucky to have library access.

Instead of protesting, they should be EDUCATING. (And c'mon who has time to stop and talk in Copley this time of year... the wind WHIPS around there. Even if it were a remotely interesting 'protest' its too cold!!)

Also they'd have better luck with the branches. There are committees that are very active. Speak at the branches and work on getting the branches to agree to a policy change.

Critical theory and our cities' public libraries.

By the zak | Wed, 02/13/2008 - 11:13am

We should critique our cities' libraries' divisions, departments, branches as we do restaurants, books, theater, motion pictures, exhibitions, et al. Critical theory needs to be developed for reviewing our cities' public libraries. Criticism will lead to ever greater recognition of the worth of our North American public libraries.

A national economic study is needed of our public libraries. We have national economic studies of elementary schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities but not of the important alternatives, our public libraries. The studies by publishers and by library professionals are skewed to their interests.

So organize the committees at the local branches. EDUCATE them on your criticism. Work you way to the top.

You get no sympathy for protesting the libraries. Honestly its like protesting puppies. Damn you puppies and your pooping in the house and your shoe chewing!!

Good Zak! We need more posts
