A tribute to Jess Cain

Growing up, my Mom used to have him on the radio every morning. I thought he was a pretty funny guy, when I was a kid.

I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in a couple of plays, and I also saw him taking part in a re-creation of old radio shows at a college. He had talent and he seemed like a nice fellow.

I was just talking about him (and Dave Maynard) this weekend with my mother-in-law. If memory serves, it was Jess Cain who had a running joke on Frank Perdue and his chickens. And Frank was totally in on it, too.

RIP, Jess.
