Arrested: Alleged armed robber in Dorchester, alleged dumbass in West Roxbury

Boston Police report arresting a Roxbury man on charges he held up some people walking to the Marriott off the Southeast Expressway at gunpoint around 9 p.m. last night. A surveillance camera at the nearby Target helped police identify and arrest the guy.

Down in West Roxbury, police arrested a local man following an accident shortly after midnight today:

On arrival, officers spoke to the operator who reported to officers that he was traveling down Wren St. towards Rutledge St. when he lost control, and struck a parked and unattended car causing his car to roll over. The operator then told officers that he had no license and that he had stolen the car keys from his mother. Further check via Mobile Data Terminal (computer in police cruiser) revealed that the operator's license was revoked, and that he had several six outstanding warrants. The passenger in the suspect car was transported to the hospital with minor injuries while he refused medical attention.

Finally, back up in Dorchester, police say a dude "known to them" started running away when he spotted them - and eventually tossed away a gun. They lost sight of him, so they staked out his house and, sure enough, he showed up there three hours later. Arrested.

Innocent until proven guilty.

Was the WR dumbass listening to WEEI at the time,
clutching his mother's keys on his way home
to her basement?

Why would being a Celtics fan have anything to do with this?

Most of the listeners (dubbed by Rick Pitino as
The Fellowship of the Miserable) are losers who
live in their mother's basements.

Completely untrue, of course. Mom's garage
works perfectly well for me.

...but even if I did, I'd have a higher self-opinion than I would if I screwed over the University of Kentucky, ran the NBA's elite franchise into the ground, took Red Auerbach out of the annual team photo, spent $22 million on Travis Knight, and bailed out when things were at their worst, all the while cheerfully collecting royalties on a book called "Success is A Choice".

Bitter? Me?

At least until he holds his press conference to announce his reasons for leaving.

I have it rated as the #4 press conference of all time, behind

1) Dennis Green: The Bears Are Who We Thought They Were
2) Allen Iverson: Talkin' About A Practice
3) Jim Mora: Playoffs???
4) Rick Pitino: The Negativity In This Town Sucks
