Guy old enough to know better interrupted while conducting a holdup at knifepoint in East Boston, police say

Boston Police report officers broke up an armed holdup around 11 a.m., Sunday at Princeton and Marion streets in East Boston:

As officers arrived on the scene, officers observed an individual holding what appeared to be a knife to the neck of another individual. When the man with the knife saw police, he threw the knife and began to run. After a short foot pursuit and brief struggle, officers arrested Jose Ramiro, 50, of East Boston and charged him with Armed Robbery.

Around 1:20 a.m., Sunday, police at the Cathedral housing project in the South End say they managed to intercept a Jamaica Plain teen-ager they had reason to believe was heading over to shoot somebody. Police say he was, in fact, packing.

Around 6:47 a.m., Sunday, police in Hyde Park say they interrupted a West Roxbury lad who was kicking a car at 69 Pierce St.:

While speaking to the suspect, officers observed that the suspect had cuts on his hands. Officers also noted that the suspect appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

The gentleman in question was arrested on similar charges this past October in Dedham.
