How does it qualify as attempted robbery?
You would think the first step in Robbing a bank would be going to a location where you aren't likely to be recognized. Trotting down to the credit union gun in hand and expecting to get away with it is pretty far fetched. Of course casing the place for weaknesses in their security system wouldn't be a bad idea either. I'm still disturbed by the fact that the man committed no crime, and yet the police are treating it as an attempted armed robbery? Why because he scribbled something on a pad? Ridiculous.
