Good thing I haven't put the French Toast Alerts into storage yet

A Globe update on today's wintry mix ends like this:
"Winter is going to take another shot at us -- maybe Monday," Foley said. "If everything comes together, it could be a big gorilla of a snowstorm up and down the East Coast."
Banana Alert System? It would be simpler: Just three alert colors: Green, yellow and brown.

French toast is needed during the summer, too
It's not just snow storms that have the weather people foaming at the mouth. During the summer, there are thunder and lightning storms as well as the occasional hurricane that manages to make its way up the coast.
The warnings about being buried in snow are just replaced by warnings of being washed out by floods.
The French Toast Alert is definitely good year-round.
Packy Alert System for Summer Storms?
I was trying to think about what I run out for (or ran out for) during the summer when Hurricane Bob was imminent.
Masking tape
Ice
Tequilla, Margarita mix, beer
Grill supplies
In short - everything needed to have a nice at home hunker-down party - electricity or no.
The packies just over the Lexington line were soooo crowded! I wasn't the only one.
Maybe a Packy Alert System is in order. It could go from 1 to 4 or 5 cases.
