It's TDious to keep changing the name
By Ron Newman - Thu, 03/20/2008 - 8:03am.
What, they're going to rename that place on Causeway Street again?
Dan Shaughnessy is right. Just call it the New Garden.
(And, by the way: how many of you know that the "T" in "TD Banknorth Garden" stands for "Toronto" ?)

And the D stands for ...
Dominion.
It's Canadians trying to take over the US! Blame Canada!
Equal Exchange Center?
No, not the brand of coffee, but to honor and celebrate the buying spree that is taking place because the dollar is weaker than lunch truck coffee right now.
The CD and USD are trading one to one right now.
I still call it the
I still call it the FleetCenter.
The Garden
Once TD Banknorth took the name, everyone went back to calling it The Garden anyway.
Unfortunately, I think some people had just started calling it The Fleetcenter.
Either way, I think a majority of people will keep calling it The Garden no matter what they add after the TD.
PS: Thank god The Shawmut Center never came to fruition. Brutal.
Shawmut would have been a good name, though
considering it's what the natives called this peninsula before any Europeans showed up here. And the Garden is near the end of the peninsula.
"Coming to you live from the ....
...Gaffin Garden."
Adam, get on that.
Here's the solution
How about the "Nobody Cares About Your Stupid Bank Name Garden"?
Sure, it's kind of unwieldy but the acronym is NCAYSBNG, which you can easily pronounce as Encasebing.
