ANTHONY!

Remember what Wednesday used to be in the Italian North End?

Dirty Water posts a ton of old Boston TV commercials, from a skinnier Jay Leno hawking the Globe to a big-hair, legging-o-riffic 1980s Jordan Marsh ad.

Lowell as Spaghettiville ... who knew?

Had no idea that Prince was located in Lowell...
Wow, great local story, thanks.

Hard to imagine an era when pasta was considered
"ethnic", but there you go.

Same era, there used to be a restaurant in Revere called
China-Roma, that specialized in simultaneous Chinese and
Italian. Now THAT was exotic...and toxic! Anthony
wasn't running home to that place, he was running away
from it.

How old...

How old is that Prince Spaghetti ad? I don't feel like I should be old enough to remember it but I do.
