Hancock tower moved to Cheyenne!

At least in the most recent episode of Jericho (also make sure to click to the second page to see what Boston would look like after the Martians attack and destroy pretty much everything but death-ray-resistant Zakim and Boston Garden).

Via John Keith.

Maybe Cheyenne got jealous when they learned how easily the oil-rich emriate of Dubai stole the Pru.

I did like the decimation of Charlestown in Spielburgs WOTH

what is WOTH?

By Ron Newman | Thu, 03/27/2008 - 9:18am

Well...

By OneMansOpinion | Thu, 03/27/2008 - 9:23am

Looks like another product of the Somerville public school system, but at least there's a farmers market and brazilian bbq, right? ;)

WOTH

War of the Worlds (w/ Tom Cruise).

The final scenes take place in Boston. The very last scene takes place outside a South End-style townhouse (although I think they suggest it is Beacon Hill or Back Bay). The parents' house is at the corner of Bond & Taylor ... which don't intersect, but what do you expect, it's Hollywood!

WOTH up with that?

By adamg | Thu, 03/27/2008 - 12:37pm

Shouldn't it be WoTW?

The preceding has been brought to you by Fun with Typos, the exciting new game for the whole family!

Oh, that movie

I try whenever possible to avoid movies that star nutty Scientologists.

I thought that's what it was...

...but I was too lazy to hit the "instant replay" button on the DVR.

Reminds me of an episode of "SeaQuest DSV" (ah, the Classics) when a cruise-missile nuke is heading to some West Coast city. The background footage they used was of wavehopping in toward Rowes Wharf.

Not the _final_ episode

It was the last (most recent) episode of Jericho, not the last (final) episode. :)

A lasting change

Fixed, thanks!

Not the _final_ episode?

By Dave | Thu, 03/27/2008 - 7:54pm

What, are you nuts? ;^)

I was too busy noticing their Capitol Building in the background to notice the Hancock in the foreground.

Presumably this was supposed to depict the building in its infancy in the newly built-up Cheyenne... but where's all the plywood?

Yes, the final episode

By Stuart (not verified) | Thu, 03/27/2008 - 8:07pm

It was billed as the "series finale" (though some places called it "season finale"). So, Wednesday was the last episode. As proof: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/

I guess unless there yet another write-in campaign to bring it back.
