Marathon of a different sort on Boylston Street

Long-distance runners in their own way

I was on Boylston Street in Copley Square around noon when a couple of motorcycle cops came through, lights flashing. Then these three runners (you can't tell from the photo, but the guy is holding a lit torch). Then several vehicles with monks and other people calling for human rights in Tibet. And then the regular flow of traffic.

Actually from the sign on the windscreen, it would appear that they only want one human right, not rights. How odd.

Maybe there's some kind of anti-Olympic relay going on?

There was a "Free Tibet" rally this afternoon on Boston Common. That is what the car with the monk was going to. I'm not sure what the torch was all about, but it was probably the same thing.

Linda was there and explains the "human torch relay" (lower case, so don't even think of asking if the other Fantastic Three were there).
