Shocker: West Roxbury to get real bookstore
By adamg - Tue, 04/01/2008 - 6:06pm.
Sadly, it means Roslindale is losing one. Pazzo Books is moving this May from Rozzie Square to 1898 Centre St. (where the old dancewear place used to be, near Park Street). Alas, the bookstore's skeeball machine won't be making the trip.
... For all of you Rozzites who do errands in West Roxbury, we’re working on an online errand optimizer - just plug in your errands and it will show you when the optimum time to stop at Pazzo is. ...

Lucky West Roxbury
This is a coup for West Roxbury. Pazzo is a fantastic bookstore with great owners -- they never got the foot traffic they deserved in their location on the far side of Washington St. in Roslindale Square. They should do much better on Centre St. and will be an easy stop after Roche Bros.
roslindale
who cares about roslindale? I thought this blog was about Boston.
*evil-but-serious laugh*
Boston neighborhoods
Here's a list.
Just because Yelp doesn't think we exist ...
boston proper
City lines are drawn in ppls heads, not usually guided by
cityofboston.gov
:P
And there's the probs
People who live north of the Fens or Columbus Avenue sometimes seem to forget most Bostonians actually live south of there - or get this weird idea that Harvard and Davis squares are part of Boston. But that's OK, the mayor's from our neck of the woods, we sure do appreciate you payin' your taxes so's the young'un can go to a Boston public school and my wife's BPL card works just as well in Copley Square as it does in Rozzie Square (maybe I should get me one, soon's I finish my 'possum huntin' - them's good eatin').
For boston, Oh Boston!
*I* would never ever confuze anywhere in Somerville/Camb with Boston. That is a very strict line. I would take Rozzie first. This blog seems very interested in West Rox/Rozzie...hmm...odd. I detect residence in the aforementioned *suburbs*
Yeah, I live in Rozze
Congrats on ferreting it out - I've managed to keep that a well-hidden secret up until now.
But, hey, that's OK - I'd prefer to have enough of you people visiting the area to keep the local stores in business, but not enough that our streets get clogged with European cars and precious little galleries.
visit stores?
I only visit Home Depot baby!
south bay! oh yeh!
'Possums
Hey, I saw a baby opossum crossing Searle Road off of LaGrange St. this morning....cute! Don't shoot!
Great news!
I hope there's a buffet of Chaucer-inspired food at their grand opening.
