Owners of kaput West Roxbury steakhouse vow to honor gift cards
The West Roxbury Bulletin reports the owners of Vintage will reimburse people who bought cards before the place shut down last month; just that it will take a month or so for them to gain access to their computer records. Also, they are looking to find another restaurant operator to move into the former steak place.

We contacted Parkway Holdings LLC and spoke with Ronan Ryan a few weeks ago. He made it very clear to us that after 30 days they would decide whether to reimburse. He said "let's face it Ed, we closed because we weren't making any money." I won't believe the reimbursement story until I hear from a customer that they received full reimbursement.
a good sign
This news story is a good sign that they'll do the right thing.
The have said, in public, they will reimburse the value if you call them and they call you back, and they confirm the value on your gift card on their restaurant computer.
As long as they are not in bankruptcy they have no bankruptcy protection. If they file for bankruptcy, you can kiss it goodbye.
Most importantly, the four partners live locally and have a an interest in keeping good will with local customers. Make the call and follow up!
Notice the Attorney General's office has been alerted to at least one issue related to Vintage, and the reporter must have notified the AG's office about the Gift Card question too.

Stenhouse, one of the owners, owns a ton of property in JP.
The other guys in the Mayo Group have land holdings and other pubs around Boston. These guys want to do business again in the area it would behoove them to honor the gift cards.
