I was hearing thunder every once in a while for a good part of the afternoon - while it was sunny & clear overhead.

Sunny in Roslindale, with about 30 seconds of almost sprinkles even as it was all dark and stormy to the north.

Rain with Windows Open

Sunny here north of the city until about 4, then the kettle drums and the deluge arrived.

It was actually quite lovely down in our basement, laying on the bed and looking up at the open casement window reflecting the green leaves outside and hearing the downpour on the Rhododendron and laurel. That felt like spring.

We got a sun break in between bands of stormytude, and were on Rainbow Patrol High Alert. Then the kettle drums started up again and we had a dinner time flashbulb sunset.

Nice...

Great photos! Personally, I'm a big fan of stormy weather.
