Isn't it great how the Sox have made New Yorkers go completely insane?

Construction workers spend five hours jackhammering concrete in search of that dreaded Sox T-shirt.
Times columnist discusses the "so-called World Series" the Sox have won.
Mike Feinstein says, no, it isn't great and that Red Sox fans need to grow up.

What they don't know ...
Is that Whitey Bulger is buried under the pitcher's mound!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

It definitely goes both ways. You can’t believe that this doesn’t happen on the part of the Bostonians. That does not make it a good thing but it does go both ways. Look at the Yankees Sux shirts that have become a 'trend'. As a Bostonian I definitely wouldn’t say we have taken the high road. On the other hand, it is pretty shameful to be ridiculed and embarrassing to say the least.
Usually in a crowd noone speaks up b/c they always expect the other person to say something.
(where's spellcheck?)
I totally agree that Sox
I totally agree that Sox fans can be equally as tough as Yankees fans. I was simply pointing out to Mark that it's not a one way road. I also find it funny that one Bronx-born guy buries a shirt in Yankee Stadium and Yankee fans are all up in arms. Come on, it was hilarious.
Human stupidity
I'm still trying to take this in. In order to escape an alleged "curse" cast by burying a shirt, workers are paid for hours of digging through concrete to remove it. The Yankees management is even talking about criminal charges. This could be the most famous littering case since "Alice's Restaurant."
Human stupidity can sometimes be funny, but in this case it's just stupid.
I saw that the shirt was donated to the Jimmy Fund. Maybe it'll at least raise some money at auction to do something good.
It is only Monday
... but this already has my vote for "quote of the week"!
I predict
More calls about buried shirts.
