Ben Franklin takes the Orange Line

Flann takes a photo on the Orange Line of the Quincy Market Ben Franklin, you know, the one who gets crabby if you try to take his picture without paying him. No word if he started yelling at her or didn't mind because he was off the clock.

He's probably on his way to HBO for tonight's episode of John Adams.

He had no idea I was taking it.

I expect a cease and desist letter will arrive within a week but I couldn't not document the occasion. He just sat there, staring out the window, looking utterly depressed that he had to ride the bus with the huddled masses of the 21st century.

Maybe next time he'll be sure to schedule his horse's checkups for weekends when the orange line isn't on shuttle service.

He's obviously influenced by the McCullough and HBO cantankerous, elitist Franklin, and not the jolly, singing and dancing Franklin of 1776.
