And Dedham's worried about us?

Some Dedhamites recently got all flustered by a rumor that alleged criminals from Roslindale's Washington-Beech housing project would be moved to their town (it was a false alarm). Now the Roslindale Transcript reports on a drug bust on Washington Street in West Roxbury: A Dedham man was arrested April 12 when Boston Police allegedly spotted him dealing drugs. They also arrested one of his alleged customers: A guy from Walpole. When are these suburban towns going to stop exporting their criminals to Boston?

"Going to Dedham"

By SwirlyGrrl | Thu, 04/17/2008 - 2:00pm

When I was just out of college, I had some friends who made their purchases of controlled substances from one of their friends who lived in Dedham.

The phrase "going to Dedham" thus became synonymous with "getting totally baked".

hi...gh

Other Dedhamites who made BPDNews.

Don't make me Google all the Milton guys arrested in Boston again.

Three of your nine hits are not Dedham residents - it's Dedham cops or Dedham court. And the first hit was a Shondel Stoner - as if she ever had a chance in life. Considering the archive goes back to 2006, I think Dedham is the least of Boston's problems.

Yes, of course, you are right

That wasn't any attempt at serious research.

My basic point: Our big, bad city is not quite the center of all evil that suburbanites sometimes seem to think; that, in fact, suburbanites come into the city and cause us grief (and never mind what they do in their own towns; Framingham and Ashland alone are enough to keep a suburban crime reporter busy). Look at those two guys from Winchester allegedly stomping the Canadiens fan.
