A good place to help make Boston shine
Harry Mattison took part in yesterday's "Boston Shines" spring cleanup and reports he paid particular attention to the area in front of the Sports Depot on Cambridge Street:
... The Sports Depot doesn't seem to put any effort into cleaning this area and a disgusting amount of garbage accumulates there. Passing by the same area later it was nice to see some other people continuing the cleanup there. ...

...and their dumpster stinks too!
If only The Sports Depot would make the tiny effort to keep their dumpster closed as they are required. It would improve things more than a little since the rotting heap inside makes the already filthy area exceedingly stinky to boot - especially when walking on the ramp of the Franklin St footbridge.

This is probably one of life's little questions, like "Why does the bathroom in McFadden's always reek of vomit and why have I been there more than once?" or "Why can't I ever remember to bring my sharpie to Pour House?" or "Could these tourists possibly walk any slower?" or "Why wouldn't you get the stroller where the kids were one in front of the other in the city with the narrowest sidewalks in America?" or something.
