And the Haitian columnist? And the Brazilian columnist? And the Vietnamese columnist? And the Russian columnist? Oh, right, the Globe is a bit short of funds right now, so they can only afford an Irish columnist.

It's out there...
I know this about the Glob/Glib, but I recently became aware of and met some of those writers. They are at New England Ethnic News.
Click on the Channels up top to see what's news and opinion in dozens of area subcultures. These print and broadcast folk share their copy. They too have limited resources. Instead of giving up like the two mainstream dailies and firing their niche staff, they help each other cover important news, features and opinions.
The world doesn't stand still with the Globe.
