That new car smell

When the Honda Accord failed to stop for a stop sign on Westville Street in Dorchester one day last month, officers pulled it over and promptly noticed "several dozen" air fresheners hanging inside it - 47 to be exact:

Cab Ride Headache
This reminds me of that cab I got at Raleigh Durham last summer - the driver had bunches of those dollar store airfreshner pots everywhere. They were super cheap smelling and made the cab smell like a portable toilet because they had that same scent. I was thankful that Eeeeepahh is only a couple of miles from RDU - it gave me a major headache.
I used to walk by the line of cars in the chemo parking zone at MGH on my way to my lab - every damn car had at least one of those little trees in it. I have always wondered why.
