that's nothin'
her grammar point is an aside to her larger point, as she indicates in her entry--and good lord, how minor a point it is in the vast ocean that is the Metro's grammatical incompetence. A couple heds from the copy I picked up on the CT2 Wednesday:
p. 6 nib:
Fewer fliers, but less empty seats
(did they mean less-empty seats? That the fliers make up in girth what they lack in numbers?)
p. 12 below fold:
Walsh says Patriots' scalped Super tix
The beloved misplaced possessive--or perhaps it is the possession that has been misplaced. Or maybe a headline-friendly participle? "Walsh says Patriots' scalped Super tix carried off by wild turkeys"?
Then, of course, there is May 5th's mysterious financial responsibility earl.
