Somebody got suckered here, seriously. Yeah, it's zoned for single-family, and you wouldn't need a variance... but you wouldneed to carry in all the construction materials on your shoulder, because there's no road that goes there. I expect there never will be either, because nobody who lives on that block today wants the woods / wetlands developed. I was pretty surprised to see his ads in the paper, and figured some sucker was trying to unload this blocked parcel under false pretenses.

Talk about due diligence. A two-minute check online would have shown this poor sucker the problem with his swampland. Look at the value history in the database. Assessed at 9,800 in 2006, but I guess he must have thought he was so smart that he could develop the parcel when the previous owner couldn't, and make a killing, so it was worth 115K for a 10K assessment. Oh, she's in financial distress, is she? Mwa ha ha!
