I think the Jimmy Fund's got a summer's worth of appearances for this comeback kid of the year!

You know, you just don't

You know, you just don't expect a Monday night game in May to bring tears to your eyes. Crazy. After all he's been through, then being the winning pitcher in the World Series clinching game, then this... Varitek catches his 4th no hitter. Stunning.

Can Boston sports get any better? Are we not the luckiest sports fans ever?

It was amazing how hard

It was amazing how hard Lester was throwing after 125 pitches. Just electric stuff the entire night.

Got to give credit to Ellsbury for that catch and for Tek to calling that game and his record breaking 4th no-no

good times never felt so good, so good, so good...

Baseball's Hidden Surprises

By Dan (not verified) - 5/20/08 - 8:34 am

Jon Lester's performance is what makes baseball such a great game. If you had a choice of seeing the Yankees on a Friday night in April or the Royals on a Monday night in May, most people would choose the former.

Just goes to show that regardless of the day of the week or the identity of the opponent, magical moments are always within reach in baseball.

History supports this. It was a rainy April Tuesday night when Roger Clemens struck out 20 Mariners. The difference last night is that it was a packed house while the Clemens masterpiece was witnessed by only 13,000.

Go figure.

Not a Sports Fan

In order to get credit for a no-hitter, don't you have to hurl it against a Major League team?
