IScream on Centre Street has taken down its Friday the 13th banner and put up its new sign.
Over in Roslindale, Washington Street is getting a new seafood takeout place - in the same general vicinity as Yucatan Mexican Grill and BBQ Town, but on the other side of the street:

too bad that Blowfish ripped off their artwork
That fish looks a lot like a slightly modified version of the OpenSSH mascot:

will ask ...
Certainly looks like the OpenBSD / OpenSSH maskot from a few years back. I'll have to ask them.
Maybe they did their research and realized there probably arent any OpenSSH developers round here. I seem to recall the gov't deeming it munitions or something fatuous like that.
Came here to mention that,
Came here to mention that, too.
It is exactly identical to the openbsd logo, except it's slightly squashed and the lips are colored. Otherwise, they just stole it.
Walking blowfish
Nancy and I went to see the Indiana Jones movie at the Circle Cinema today. We were in the lobby when this almost stereotypical geek guy walked in: Long hair pulled back in a pony tail, beard and cargo shorts. But the piece de resistance: He was wearing a T shirt that showed an inflated blowfish atop "OpenSSH"! The blowfish was different from the one discussed here, though, it was more of a head-on 3Dish image. And nope, didn't talk to him, he seemed busy with his kids.
Do you think they've ever
Do you think they've ever even heard of this?
Nope, but I bet their graphic designer has...
...and I bet they charged an arm and a leg to the place for their hard, hard "design" work.
blowfish
Wonder if they've heard of these guys.
(NSFW.)
That link ...
Is a real hootie.
details?
I've been peeking through the window for months, very slow opening. Anybody have any idea what the menu is like, is it sushi, fish n' chips or what? Cheap or wannabe Brookline?
Peeking through the door yesterday
We saw a whole lot of stainless steel stuff (a lot like the Square Corner Cafe, in fact), so I'm betting on fairly simple takeout stuff, rather than, oh, fugu :-).
