Phill Jupitus is some British comedian and broadcaster who loves Boston, which is wonderful, but he writes:
The city also boasts some first-class shopping. The first place to go is probably Commonwealth Avenue but I also like Boylston Street.
Where is this first-class shopping on Comm. Ave.? In Kenmore Square? Along BU? He also says he likes the food in the Italian Quarter.

relax...clearly he's never
relax...clearly he's never really seen the city...his favorite bar is the freakin Cask 'n Flagon. That was my favorite bar...only because I could get in free beers from my buddy before he got fired.
Now I wouldnt be caught dead in there.
Copley Square Hotel
And his favorite, or in British-ese "favourite," place to stay is the Copley Square Hotel which has been closed since Jan. 14 2008 for $14 million in renovations.
Yeah, so?
He doesn't say he stayed there recently. I see a lot of cheap nits being picked here. I for one am pleased when somebody visits Boston and likes it enough to tell other folks. So he used some terms that insiders don't, so what?
There are nits and then there are nits
Telling people to go shopping on Comm. Ave. is setting them up for major disappointment. Unless he's talking about house shopping, now that the dollar's worth, what, three pence?
He's obviously confusing the
He's obviously confusing the Copley Plaza with that other hole..at lest I hope so.
Comm Ave. Near BU
Maybe he likes Asian supermarkets or tanning salons
