Green Line driver suspended for Driving While Asleep

CSA who ignored passenger complaint to be disciplined as well.

Driver can't return to work until passing a "fitness for duty" test (unspecified what that entails: staying awake during an entire Swedish movie without subtitles?). Yes, it's the same driver and incident reported on here.

Ben Alper suspects:

Riders sensed something was amiss when the train passed without stopping through Kenmore, Cleveland Circle, Providence, and New York City.

Maybe that's what they mean at Park Street when they tell everyone to get out of an eastbound Green Line because the "train has been re-routed".

"disciplined"

Code for "stern speaking to for gross negligence".

Two nights ago on the #39, the driver was driving so hard on the gas+brakes you couldn't stand up until he'd come to a complete stop, and he was laughing and yakking away on one of those bluetooth ear thingies.

Didn't we just get told about how T employees aren't allowed to talk on the phone while driving?

Did you get the bus number, time, etc. and report this? That's pretty ballsy, even after the conductor in Newton was cleared.

Yeah I called customer

Yeah I called customer service, but when I told them the bus number was Anon and the time was Not Verified, they wouldn't take my report. Damn them!

I called the MBTA service number, and sat on hold for the rest of the trip. My stomach overrode my angst, and I hung up to go into a restaurant.
