ParkwayBoston.com reports Vintage is getting bought by Alfredo's of Quincy (pending a city liquor-license transfer, natch).

gift cards honored?
Good, I love Italian!
I wonder if the old owners will make honoring the gift cards a term of the sale. Let's say there was $3000 outstanding value on the cards, they could probably settle for $2000 (less from the sale price total) and make a bunch of new costumers happy.
more italian?
Spring Street Cafe shares the same parking lot and the dinner menu is mainly Italian, Brickhouse is practically across the street and Tony's is a two minute drive (both Italian).
I don't know... if they cannot get an entertainment license to keep people in there after 9pm (after hours in West Roxbury), I give it six months tops....
Spring St is not just
Spring St is not just Italian at all and it closes early. Brickhouse is not practically across the street, it's down the road past McGolf. And no one eats at Tony's. Keep an open mind. Better than an empty building, especially in a tough economy.
Comellas
Comellas is awesome italian, and it's nearby
Very true
It is not just about variety, sometimes you just need more places to be around, and to encourage spending. As long as it is sound, it could actually help the economy, but in minor ways, I guess.
good food, priced reasonably
When it comes to restaurants my standard of judgment is
good food
priced reasonably.
