On Friday, Tom Menino and Police Commissioner Ed Davis held a get-tough press conference to announce a gang crackdown (later that night, a teen was shot repeatedly in Roxbury). A resident who lives across from the 12th Baptist Church, where officers from across the city were assembled as part of the media opportunity, took the above photo and reports:

Bomb squad, bikes, motorcycles, K-9 and horses, showed up to get group photos taken. Or something like that. News crews where here also. All very strange.
