Two more alleged bicycle thieves nabbed in the North End; Dot man charged with stabbing brother-in-law
Boston Police report arresting a Roxbury dude and a Dorchester teenager around 10:40 p.m. yesterday on charges they stole a pair of mountain bikes from Charter and Michaelangelo streets. Police say the pair were caught on the bikes, and that witnesses had reported seeing them on foot earlier in the evening. Unlike Tuesday's alleged North End bike thief, they did not attempt to escape by jumping into the harbor.
Meanwhile, in Dorchester, police report that Luther Boyd, 42, ended a lengthy argument with his brother-in-law by plunging a knife into him around 4 p.m. yesterday at 142 Harwood St.:
Officers spoke to a witness who reported that the two men, the suspect and the victim who are brothers-in law, had been arguing for most of the week and the argument escalated into a physical fight on this day.
Police say they found Boyd in the kitchen with his brother-in-law lying there, bleeding. He was taken to Boston Medical Center in critical condition.
