"Hey Celtics Fans! Want the very first chance in Boston to take a picture with the 2008 NBA Championship Trophy and a Celtics player while supporting the new Celtics charity license plate? Then come down to the Watertown Mall located at 550 Arsenal Street this Tuesday, July 22, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. to get your shot with the Larry O'Brien Trophy and Boston Celtic Glen "Big Baby" Davis.

This exclusive opportunity is available to those that have completed and paid for a Boston Celtics specialty license plate to benefit Children's Hospital Boston. Please see below for details and we hope to see you there.

Upon registering for a $40 Boston Celtics License Plate, one (1) photo opportunity will be available per registrant with the 2008 NBA Championship trophy, and Boston Celtic Glen Davis. Autograph availability will be determined on the day of the event and is based upon number of attendees. You must be a resident of Massachusetts to apply for the plate and have a registered car in the state. Payment options include cash and checks, made out to the RMV.

All proceeds from the Celtics Plate will benefit our partner, Children's Hospital Boston.

The Celtics plate is not yet available. We must attain 1500 applications before production can begin."

This last is of the most importance to me. I signed up for a plate in late 2006 (Pre-Garnett, Pre-Allen, yes, I've been a fan since before then) and I am amazed that there haven't been 1,500 applications in all that time. I want my damn plates!
