Your favorite Boston anthem

The Dropkick Murphys I'm Shipping Up To Boston was a ready made fight song for the Red Sox during the championship run, and it also gave some punch and local flavor to Scorsese's Boston-based crime thriller, The Departed.

What's your favorite Boston anthem? Your choice does not have to be a Boston band or a band that sings about Boston just a song that that "rocks" and that has a connection to boston for you. Take liberty in your choice... wtf this is Boston, the cradle of Liberty.

The Standells - Dirty Water

Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston

Paul Rodgers - Muddy Water Blues

Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion

Did Aerosmith write a song about Boston? I don't recall... Movin' Out, maybe. This song, No More No more, rocks too.

Extreme - More than Words

Boston - More Than a Feeling

Please Come to Boston

by Dave Loggins. Not 'rock', but still a pretty well-known song with our city in the title. (I'm too lazy to look through all of the videos to see if any are worth posting here.)

I'll also mention 'Charlie on the MTA' here to get that out of the way.

"Boston" by the Dresden Dolls is quite anthemic.

Something about Galaxie 500's cover of Don't Let Our Youth Go to Waste totally reminds me of being a teenager in Boston.
