You know, people acting like

You know, people acting like this isn't new, but life was so much more tolerable before every half-wit with a computer felt compelled to spread [and compound] this ill-will. This world would definitely be better off without either, but it was just fine with just the latter missing.

yeah

those aren't glaring examples. if that's the worst that happens in a neighborhhod - a guy yelling into a phone, and someone making dumb comments to a stranger - it seems like a good place to me.

It may be therapeutic to write a blog post

It may be therapeutic to write a blog post about mean things mean people do as a way to exorcise it from your consciousness... but it certainly is not therapeutic to read it.

Consider this, the asshole was being snarky and his/her "Get hit!" was not to be taken literally but rather intended as a cautionary exclamation. Sometimes, we get so disaffected that everything that comes out of our mouth is dripping with condescending sarcasm. Maybe he didn't want the girl to get hit, maybe he wanted her to be more cautious. I'm not saying I know. I'm just sayin'

Mostly, I've spent far too much time thinking and writing about this when it really doesn't matter one bit.

when people had keys for their diaries

Maybe we can get Adam to identify these kind of posts as "sounds like a personal problem" and then, as forewarned is forearmed, you could skip them.
