Yes, it has come to this:
... It's for every woman who enthusiastically shared an insight about a player and received only a blank stare and this comment, "Wow, you know a lot about baseball for a chick." ...

Sadly unsurprising
Once upon a time I corrupted my then-girlfriend into Sox fandom (back when this meant a life of pain and suffering), and she really got into it, especially scoring games. It helped her focus on what was going on. And since I have season tickets and can't go to every game, she scored a lot of games.
I will mention right now that she's kind of an obsessive geek.
Of course, if she went to a game by herself, there were always guys who would try to strike up conversations that contained every macho trope except beginning with "Hey there, lil' lady" and ending with "wanna go back to my place?" And inevitably the guys would hurry away scared when she flipped to the back of her score book, where she had the weekly situational splits for everyone on both teams, including pitching numbers that factored in relative humidity at game time.
The best apparently was when some guy got in her face about how Grady was an idiot for starting that nobody Ortiz instead of Jeremy Giambi, because... you know... Giambi! And because chicks don't get baseball. Not really. Otherwise she'd have understood what we all now know to be true: Jeremy Giambi is the future of Sox baseball.
I wish they had one for girl
I wish they had one for girl Pats fans.
