For Rozzie rats the world over

Matt O'Malley, who's Originally From Rozzie, has set up a Roslindale group on Facebook (Facebook account required). If you remember Larry's Ice Cream, you're probably eligible to join the fierce debate on the best pizza ever in Roslindale (Pleasant Cafe or John's today, Nevio's from the fabled past).
And while there, check out out an example of social networking at its finest: The I Wish People Would Stop Saying They're from Boston When They're Not group. Who knew this was such a hot issue?
I HATE PEOPLE THAT R NOT FROM BOSTON AND THEY THROW UP THE 3'S IF UR FROM BOSTON U WILL UNDERSTAND IF U AINT FROM BOSTON STOP THROWING UP THE 3'S 4 BOSTON.

Nativists!
As one who's moved to Roslindale from _elsewhere_, I gather they would prefer I not visit their shrines to the past. In fact, I like Pleasant cafe pizza.
In their defense, however, I can't imagine a "Pluralists in Roslindale" would succeed as a facebook group.
Something that might not occur to these people
Somebody somewhere else (gasp!) in another city (recoil!) might do what they call "threes" or something similar without their knowledge, consent, etc. and may have been doing it LONGER than they have. The Horrors!
These people might hold a similar narrow world view that they invented it too!
Not like some of us didn't wear Adidas warmups about thirty years ago ... or Adidas cleats 25 years ago ...
Or Samba Classics now...
... since they're one of the few trainers that have the arch in the right place for my foot.
I went to visit the facebook
I went to visit the facebook site, I wont be joining...
While I agree with their "message" that people who are not from Boston shouldnt pretend to be, I dont like the ghettoesque nature of their facebook group lol. Oh look at me Im a gangsta from Boston, ladidada.
If your from Boston and you say your a gangsta your just some punk who works at McDonalds by night and sleeps on his mothers sofa by day.
From Boston or not
I don't quite understand the point of the facebook group. Is it just to make clear that Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Medford, etc. are not parts of Boston?
Like a high school year book
... and all those kids who made a vague hand gesture and told everybody it was obscene - and got high school principles in full twisting knicker mode over it.
For all the rest of the world cares, Medford, Somerville, Cambridge ... they are in Boston too. Deal. It all sounds like that young jerkwad seated near us at a Sox game back when bleacher seats were still available day of game at prices that impoverished students could afford. The guy was talking about how his probation officer was cramping his style and following him around and making him get a job and such. He was on probation because he got in a fight because somebody said that some neighboring town that is utterly indistinguishable from his own was #1 and he just had to show him!
We've had 20 years of good laughs over that one.
Like seriously Roslindale
Like seriously Roslindale and West Roxbury are so not the same thing and neither one of them is like the good part of JP , jeez. The people in Roslindale make 5,000 less a year than the ones in West Roxbury so the Rozzies are ghetto, and the people in the good parts of JP make like 3,000 more than those in West Roxbury so that part of JP is mad rich... yo
Rozzie Fakes
The network description says "played baseball at Billings". Billings is in West Roxbury. If u r a Rozzie network why not say Fallon or Healy. Cause their Rozzie fakes who hung in west roxbury and played off like they lived there too.
So we need a group called
I Wish People Would Stop Saying They're from Roslindale When They're Not?
Does anybody pretend to be from Hyde Park?
New Group:
"I Wish People Would Stop Saying They're Living on my Sofa When They're Not." Yay for pointless facebook groups!
