There's stupid and then there's stupid
Why would you call 911 and tell the dispatcher you were being held against your will on Mission Hill when police can trace your call to Hyde Park? For that matter, why would you call police to report you've been abducted when it turns out Dedham police want you for a bank robbery earlier in the day?
Brilliant until proven an idiot.

This is the 2nd story I've read about this incident and neither one bothered to mention what bank was robbed, so I think some of the stupidity belongs to the journalists.
